Biography

Marie-Josée Lessard, a notary, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) in 1989 and completed her training by obtaining a Diploma in Notarial Law (D.D.N.) from the University of Montreal in 1990. With over 33 years of experience in the fields of real estate law, family law, personal law, and estate law, she has been a co-owner, along with Sylvie Piché, of the Lessard and Piché notary office since its inception. As of March 1, 2024, she has eagerly joined the TSO notaries team.

Still as passionate about her profession as on the first day, Marie-Josée loves meeting new people and learning more about their stories. The human aspect of her job is one of the things she enjoys the most. This is why many of her current clients have been with her since the beginning of her career. She has grown alongside them and now serves the second and even third generation of her clients.

Rigor, precision, and listening are the cornerstone values upon which Marie-Josée bases her work. Being a very empathetic person, the most important thing for her is to take the necessary time to meet her clients’ needs. Equipping them to handle various life challenges while quickly making them feel comfortable are among the things she holds dear. She also makes it a point to simplify more complex legal concepts in each case to make them accessible to everyone.

Marie-Josée has a particular fondness for family law, personal law, and estate law, but is always available and happy to serve her clients in real estate law.
